Acclaimed author, travel writer and screen writer with 30 years' experience Mark Wallington is the course leader for our Story to Screen and Travel Writing - From Postcard to Front Page Master Classes.
Mark started as a writer for Not the Nine O'Clock News and The Dave Allen Show. Travel books include the well known Boogie series first published in 1986, six novels (most recently The Auto Biography 2013), screen plays for television including Happy Birthday Shakespeare (Easter 1999 with Neil Morrissey and Amanda Holden), The Missing Postman (1991), Station Jim (Christmas 2001), The Man who Lost his Head (Martin Clunes, August Bank Holiday 2007 and 2008) and the BBC sitcom All Night Long. His novels Boogie Up The River, 500 Mile Walkies and The Uke of Wallington 2012 were all adapted for radio as Radio 4's Book of the Week.

Story to Screen - how to convert story into script
This 3 day course led by Mark Wallington will enable you to discover the craft of converting story into a screenplay for television, film or radio. Through a programme of workshops, discussion and one to one tuition, you’ll work through content development, characterisation, structure, dialogue and what the script looks like….all the components of telling a story from the very beginning…to a viable script.
